The Georgia State
Capitol Building is situated slightly west of Five Points. This landmark
building is capped with a native gold dome, which distinguishes it from all
others in the area. The Georgia State Capitol was built in 1889 and houses natural science displays, the Hall of Flags and a Hall of Fame that honors outstanding Georgians.
